May Float Notes
Float Notes – Monthly reflections, offers, and float wisdom from Stasis Float Center
“You can’t really know where you are going until you know where you’ve been.”
—Maya Angelou
Happy Friday everyone, we made it to May!
We hope you’ve had a chance to enjoy some of those nicer spring days in between the rain and colder weather. As the season starts to open up, it’s easy to feel like you need to pack everything into every sunny moment. Try not to get too much FOMO. A float can be the perfect way to slow things down and make the most of your spring as we head into summer.
This month, we’ve got a few things lined up. Our Mother’s Day promotion kicks off today and runs through May 10th, so be sure to check out the details below. Stasis Sound is also back on Friday, May 8th, and we’ve included a fun little observation on some famous floaters to round things out.
We look forward to having you in for your next relaxing session!

A Fun Float Observation
We had a couple of new members relaxing with some tea after their float recently when they noticed our “famous floaters” poster. It’s a little list we keep around the shop, and at the very bottom are two names that usually get a double take: Homer and Lisa Simpson.
That sparked a great conversation. There’s actually a Simpsons episode where Lisa brings Homer into a float center as a father-daughter outing. It’s a fun one without giving too much away.
As they were wrapping up, I looked it up to share the details with them, and that’s when something interesting popped up. The episode is Make Room for Lisa, Season 10, Episode 16, and it originally aired on February 28, 1999.
That’s well before floatation therapy really started picking back up in the 2010s, which makes it one of those classic Simpsons moments where they somehow called it early.
If you’re up for a light watch, it’s available on Disney and is a fun little nod to something we get to share with all of you every day.
